Area Description

Panhandle Resource Conservation and Development, Inc. serves eleven counties in northwest Nebraska: Banner, Box Butte, Cheyenne, Dawes, Deuel, Garden, Kimball, Morrill, Scotts Bluff, Sheridan, and Sioux, with a combined geographic area of approximately 14,000 square miles.
The 2000 census shows the region's total population at 90,410 citizens. Panhandle RC&D is a voluntary organization made up of members from local governments and private sector representatives from our coverage area who have come together to jointly find ways to solve common local problems and develop common opportunities. |
